We value your privacy at the Corvettes Down-Under Car Club Inc. (CDUCC) and understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality. This policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your personal information.

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

Collection of your personal information

We collect personal information directly from you through your membership application and when you deal with us in person, over the phone, via mail or via our web site (e.g., event registration). The information collected and maintained by us generally comprises of your name and address, your contact (phone, email address) and vehicle details.

Use and disclosure of your personal information

Your personal information is collected and maintained electronically for purposes of internal administration and communication with you. We will use all reasonable endeavours to prevent the disclosure of your personal information except when:

  • Indicated at the time you supply the information to us
  • Required for performance by us of our activities for you
  • Required under compulsion of law or provided in cooperation with any government authority
  • Where it is already publicly available or it is disclosed by us in a manner that does not readily permit identification of information relating to you.

We undertake not to sell or trade your personal information. Your personal information may be shared among the members of the CDUCC unless you tell us otherwise.

Use of Personal Financial Information

The CDUCC website does not handle any of the financial transactions conducted in relation to CDUCC memberships or events. No personal financial records are stored or maintained on the website or internal administrative record keeping systems.

Use of Member Email Address

The email address you submitted for club registration will be used by the CDUCC for the sole purpose of involving you in club related activities and to provide you with ongoing updates on club activities. Users may opt out of the receiving of these by contacting the CDUCC Secretary by email at vetter@corvettesdownunder.com.au or the website at Contact Us.

Quality of your personal information

We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information held is accurate and will update our records at the earliest opportunity following notification of any errors or changes.

Access to your personal information

On request, you may access personal information collected and held by us. If your personal information is not accurate, or incomplete, you may request that we make necessary corrections, additions or deletions. Security of your personal information

Your personal information will be held in a secure manner with access limited to only bona fide officers of the CDUCC or those in the CDUCC with the delegated authority of the CDUCC Committee.
